- When the wind turbine tower is low, the tower elevator can lift install the nacelles and then their blades.
- The elevators can lift install or replace complete rotors on the nacelle.
- Telescopic tower elevators can be used to replace the nacelle and blades and the towers raised to full height after replacement.
